As I gaze at my reflection
I can see my past transgressions My confusion and perplextion
My blind selections
My lustful obsessions
My faithless regressions
My tattered and worn complextion But, I can also see my Father with His shield of protection
Covering me, as His sword defeated my oppression
His love that conquered my depression
His grace that forgave my indiscretions
His peace that calms the storms’ aggression
His discipline that instills life lessons
And His mercy that showers me with blessing after blessing…..
