When He had finished washing their feet, He put on His clothes and returned to His place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” He asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you should also wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the One who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” John 13:12-17 NIV

Brothers and sisters, have we forgotten our role as servants in America? Have we become so pompous and selfish that we refuse guidance and obedience to His Word? Where is our love in serving our brother and sisters? What have you given of yourself to serve another? I think we all need to pause and think about our service to one another. Then commit to give of ourselves daily.

“GIVE”

When your neighbor asked for your help

Did you give?

Or did you side step

When a child wanted you to listen and watch him grow

Did you give?

Or did you say no

When the homeless woman said she was in need

Did you give?

Or did you cut her deeper causing her wound to bleed

When your sister asked for your confidence

Did you give?

Or did you spread gossip amongst the residents

When your brother needed your financial aid

Did you give?

Then turn around and told how much you paid

When our Lord and Savior bore the ultimate sacrifice

Didn’t He give?

So that you and I could choose life

Peace and Many Blessings,

La Royce
